What if there were a blog for marketers worn out by job hunting and career management?
"What on earth do I need to prepare to become a marketer?"
Five years ago, after letting go of my dream of becoming a teacher and deciding to become a marketer, this was the question I wrestled with constantly.
I had competition awards, extracurricular activities, even some small-scale product sales and startup experience, but it was hard to know specifically what skills I needed to land a job as a marketer.
Then I realized that, even recently, this problem still hasn't been solved.
In a few marketer communities I stumbled across, I found that there were far more people than I expected carrying the exact same worries I had five years ago.
As I answered the questions of job seekers and people considering a career change one by one, I realized that turning this into content and distributing it would help people much faster.
The two meanings of Haven
1. A place of refuge
2. A harbor
Josh's Marketer Haven is an informational blog that shares my know-how and resources for aspiring marketers and junior marketers, so they can take charge of their career growth and set sail on a new voyage 📚

TMI about the blog's owner, Marketer Josh 🤭
A fifth-year marketer who went through a rougher junior period than most.
These days I'm at Indent Corp., a fast-growing martech startup in Korea, helping e-commerce marketers solve their problems through VREVIEW.
And now, through Marketer Haven, I want to fulfill my childhood dream of becoming a teacher.
- Because of my job, I interact with a wide range of marketers.
- I write about one article for e-commerce marketers a week on average.
- Marketer Josh on LinkedIn and Instagram

Who I help 😀
I'm preparing content for passionate aspiring marketers who want to take charge of their growth, and for junior marketers who are struggling with career management.
Right now I'm offering application document reviews and Q&A through an open chat.
< Marketer Haven> is especially recommended for
- People who want to know, and build, the skills it takes to become a marketer
- People who find it hard to choose and apply to companies at the start of their career
- People looking for a community to exchange thoughts and opinions

How I help 🛠️
Rather than answering everyone 1:1, I address the common questions through blog content and focus on the parts that need individual feedback.
In particular, if you read the related posts first before asking for a resume or portfolio review, I can give you much more detailed feedback.
- Publishing blog content that offers hints for managing a marketing career
- Q&A on company research and the application process, plus application document reviews (cover letters, portfolios)
- Sharing know-how for continuous career growth

What I'm working on 🔥
To solve the real problems of the people who come to Marketer Haven, I'm using the nature of my job to meet a variety of practitioners and experts and strengthen my know-how.
- Regular networking with people who have hired a lot of marketers
- Ongoing study of HR content, then organizing action plans that fit marketers
- Archiving marketer job postings from growing brands and companies
Why I run Marketer Haven ❓
I think of it as a gift to myself from five years ago.
Through this content, I hope people who dream of becoming marketers experience less of the anxiety, frustration, and trial and error I went through as a newcomer.
Someday, I'm aiming to bundle Marketer Haven's content into a beginner's guide for marketers that will be read for a long, long time 😃
