What we need now is the courage to be happy: 'Someday You'll Get Fired, the Company Will Go Under, and We'll All Die!'

What we need right now is the 'courage to be happy'👨‍👩‍👦

When I first came across Lee Dong-su, I think I had a vague impression of him as "someone so talented that he can take parental leave whenever he likes and live freely."

Part of it was probably how he was portrayed on TV, but I think I'd also formed a bias from his appearance and the way he talks.

But the Lee Dong-su I met in the book wasn't the extraordinary talent or wealthy man I'd imagined.
He was simply a "courageous person" who could genuinely put time with his family, and their happiness, first.

Deciding to take parental leave from a perfectly good job and live in the Netherlands for a year, all for happy time with his daughter, must have taken enormous courage on the inside.

On the outside he looks free and easygoing, but inside he's firmer and more resolute than anyone.

Could I live like that? Of course, Lee Dong-su's life isn't my ideal.

But I felt that whenever I reach a point where I forget that "my happiness and my family's happiness" come first, I should recall Lee Dong-su's courage.

Thank you for sharing such a wonderful life, Dong-su 😁
